MeetingPoint, The Industry's First H.323 Software Server, Becomes Available on Sun Solaris Operating Environment

Multipoint Conferencing between Standards-Based Video Clients BecomesIncreasingly Accessible to Corporate, Government, and Educational Institutions

(NASDAQ:WPNE - news), a leading provider of group conferencing software solutions for the Internet and intranets, today announced the availability of its MeetingPoint™ Conference Server for the Sun™ Solaris™ operating environment.

MeetingPoint, the industry's first H.323 standard software-based server, has been available for Windows NT since early fourth quarter of last year. MeetingPoint
enables multipoint group conferences between users of standard H.323 clients including Microsoft® NetMeeting™, Intel® ProShare®, and others. White Pine is the first and only vendor to make H.323 server software technology available for the Solaris operating environment.

MeetingPoint was the first conference server software to implement the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) H.323 standard for conferencing over packet networks. It enables the tens of millions of users who have installed H.323
desktop clients such as Intel ProShare, Microsoft NetMeeting, PictureTel LiveLAN, and White Pine CU-SeeMe® to participate in full multi-point group conferences for
departmental meetings, partner support, corporate training, and other business-critical applications.

Availability and Pricing
MeetingPoint for Solaris will ship in mid-May. MeetingPoint is immediately available for Windows NT. Pricing in the United States starts with a 10-user license at $5995 for Solaris, and $3995 for Windows NT. 25-, 50-, and 100-user
licenses are also available. Specific pricing is dependent on the number of simultaneous users.
