DSL MYTHS!

Here are some mistakes that a lot of people make when ordering DSL.  You may want to make sure that you understand these points:

- DSL does not replace your existing phone line.  Your phone company will continue to charge you for your existing phone line.   True, the service runs on the same physical pair in your home or office, but the services are still billed separately.

- DSL cannot replace your ISDN line.  If you have ISDN, you will need to have a POTS (analog) line in your home or office to install DSL.  If you do not, we suggest that you order one immediately.  There will be no chance of qualifying for DSL service otherwise.

- If your office uses Hunt Groups on its phone system, DSL can be installed on one of the lines in the hunt group, but the hunt group will be non-operational for the duration of the install.  In severe cases this could take all day!  It may be more desirable for a business to order a separate line for the purpose of carrying DSL.
